Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden 1.23.07

The day was getting away from us fast on our city tour, so we only had about 30 minutes at the gardens, but we could have spent hours here. The garden was established in 1913 to cultivate and study indigenous plants. Weaved with the flowers are beautiful statutes.

After we visited this garden, we learned there had been six robberies, at knife point, in the previous 2 days. Hard to believe something so awful could happen in such a beautiful place.
