Castle Good Hope 1.23.07

We arrived just in time to see the changing of the guard. Everyday at noon, a cannon fires and this ceremony takes place. Castle Good Hope is in the heart of Cape Town.

Inside, you can see the court yard is brilliantly painted in the typical Cape dutch way. There is a military museum and a museum of furniture. The furniture was brought to the Cape via ship and the size of most of the furniture is enourmous. It's hard to believe the ship did not sink.
